What an end to 2023! We wrapped things up by giving back to our communities in many ways! We hosted our Annual Shred Event inviting our families, friends, clients, and neighbors to bring their shredables for a day of free shredding and an opportunity to donate to the Food Pantry.
Kathy and Maureen spent the day delivering pies from Suzettes Creperie to the Shred Event Pie Raffle Winners. We heard they were delicious!!
Maureen Rooney and Jane Rooney Hootman provided free gift wrapping at Fuschia Boutique during Ladies Night Out as a “thank you” to the community.
Kathy and Maureen enjoyed an event hosted by local designer, Park and Oak, where they had a chance to relax and share ideas with like-minded home decorators! A great way to wrap up the year and kick off the Holiday Season! Thank you for the invite Chris and Reene!

2023 has been an incredibly interesting year for Chicagoland Real Estate!
We thought the rise in interest rates would halt the market but actually became the impetus for this ongoing Seller Market. It's all about supply and demand and abundance of qualified buyers ready to purchase a new home.
Most of our listings have sold in multiple offers, over the asking price.
What’s in store for 2024? The Q&R Crystal Ball is not 100% clear but we’re going with what we know today...
Qualified buyers in all price ranges are still ready to purchase and inventory is still low.
We suggest getting ready to list in January before inventory ramps up! We’re fully equipped here at Quaid and Rooney to help you or anyone you know prep and be market ready in 3-5 biz days. And not a problem if you need more time...we are hands-on throughout the process!

Kathy lives by the motto “Do what you love and love what you do, and everything just falls into place!” After graduating from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and a minor in psychology, Kathy spent the next 20 years working in sales and consulting before entering the world of real estate in 2004. Kathy’s education and impressive career in sales has helped her excel at negotiating deals and supporting all the emotions that come along with real estate transactions.
Kathy’s passion for real estate and working with people, combined with the dynamic elements that make up a real estate transaction, are what energizes her. Over the years, Kathy has built an arsenal of 5-star service providers who provide quality support to her clients.
